Would you like to get to know some of the members of the Hive? This week we asked our COO, Cleve Kennelly, a series of five questions to not only help to get to know the man in charge but to help get an internal perspective on who Hivewyre is and what is like to be apart of the Hive. Kennelly brings years of experience to Hivewyre with an education in Business Administration in Marketing and Advertising from Arizona State University at the W.P. Carey School of Business.

Why did you choose Hivewyre? Kennelly chose Hivewyre because, at a previous Company, he established a strong working relationship with the founder and owner of Hivewyre, Chad Little. This was a decision that was easy and exciting because of the trust and respect that was established at their previous company. Little had a vision and Kennelly wanted to be a part of it. Hivewyre offers a highly unique offering to E-commerce retailers looking to dramatically expand their top of funnel prospecting efforts.

What is an accomplishment that shaped your career? Early on, Kennelly was able to set internal performance records with his respective teams and that is when he developed a passion for sales leadership. He has brought 30 years of successful operations leadership experience to Hivewyre. Previously, he worked as a Senior Vice President of People Operations.  

What is your favorite part about your job here at Hivewyre? There are many factors to love about Hivewyre but Kennelly says that the autonomy, flexibility, effectiveness, creativity, and having your voice be heard here has to be his favorite. Here at the Hive, you work independently and you are self-motivated which allows for some scheduling flexibility to ensure work/personal balance. We believe in the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance and take whatever steps necessary to help all of our employees achieve it. It is also vital in driving your work productivity and performance which is important in a self-motivated environment. We also encourage all employees voicing their interests, and if you have a question or concern, do not hesitate to ask or state your opinion. Every single person here at Hivewyre wants success for you as much as they do for themselves and want to help as much as they possibly can.

What would you say makes Hivewyre a successful business? We have a unique proprietary platform which allows E-Commerce Retailers to join our Coop and take advantage of finding shoppers with real-time buying intent that allows us to deliver an advertiser’s ads to same and similar segments of buyers.  Hivewyre’s proprietary 2nd party data comes from users visiting similar shopping sites, who chose not to purchase. With 50+ segments and many subsegments, Hivewyre has over 100 Million unique monthly shoppers available to advertisers who join our coop.

How would you describe the company culture at Hivewyre?

Kennelly describes the company culture as “informal, collaborative, flexible, high performance, solid accountability, and respectful.” We like to think of ourselves as one big family with the same aspirations. We respect one another and strive to be the best possible.
